Our Story
Green Acres Farm was established in 2008 by the Johnson family with a simple mission: to grow nutritious, flavorful produce using sustainable farming practices that respect the land and our community.
What began as a small 5-acre plot has now grown to over 25 acres of certified organic farmland. We specialize in heirloom vegetables, seasonal fruits, and fresh herbs that are harvested at peak ripeness and delivered directly to your door.
We believe in transparent farming practices and invite our customers to visit the farm to see how their food is grown. Our commitment to sustainability extends beyond our fields to every aspect of our operation, from solar-powered irrigation to compostable packaging.
Our Growing Practices
Certified Organic
We maintain USDA Organic certification and grow all our produce without synthetic pesticides, herbicides, or GMOs. We focus on building healthy soil through crop rotation and natural amendments.
Water Conservation
Our drip irrigation systems reduce water usage by up to 70% compared to conventional methods. We also collect rainwater and use moisture sensors to water only when necessary.
Biodiversity
We maintain hedgerows and native plantings throughout our farm to support beneficial insects and wildlife. Our farm is home to over 30 species of birds and countless pollinators.
Minimal Packaging
We use compostable or reusable packaging whenever possible and work to minimize waste throughout our supply chain, from field to doorstep.
